‘Tis the Season…

Not much time for photography during this busy season, however, I did want to stop and wish everyone a Happy Christmas! 

Truthfully I enjoyed these few minutes away from all the preparations with my camera… .  hopefully I’ll get out for some seasonal shots soon to  add to this theme. 

The poinsettia was taken with the LensBaby Composer plus the Macro accessory.

The thumbnail images are the result of a fun photo excursion with my 11 year-old grandson on December 23rd.    Justin brought home his wonderful interpretation of Xmas lights with my Canon PowerShot G5 and a whole lot of movement – a reminder for us adults to “just try it” and see what happens!    The day was grey and almost over for my landscape shot but it verifies that we do indeed have more than enough snow for Xmas.

January 3, 2010 - 10:41 am PatB - You’re absolutely right Julie, you can’t get that close with the Composer on it’s own. I used the +10 Macro accessory to get closer. The Calla Lilly images were also taken with the same combination. Now that I have more time I must start adding some metadata to my posts. I’ll be sure to on any Lensbaby work I do. As for my “perfect” focal point, thank you – you should know though, that it took me three tries! lol Great to have you back… you are sure tempting me with the new 2010 photo project. What a good job you all did with the organization, I'm very impressed with it! Pat

January 2, 2010 - 7:15 pm Julie - Okay, tell me your secret! The Lensbaby can't focus that close, can it? Do you have an extension tube or something????? The poinsettia is beautiful, so detailed and perfect focal point. Justin's Christmas lights are spectacular too....
